This is a term used to signify that all the playable chips of a particular player have been placed as a bet. This is a very serious move that you need to learn when you learn how to play poker it’s because it leads to a win all or loose all situation.
Another important term is BLIND
This is a compulsory bet that is placed by the two poker players of the game even before the cards of the first round are dealt. The player on the left of the dealer is called the small blind and the player on the left of the small blind is the big blind. The big blind is double of the small blind. So in a game of $2/4, the small blind will put in $1 into the pot while the big blind will put in $2.
